Custom Blends
Custom Seed Blends for Farms, Ranches & Wildlife
No two fields are exactly alike. That’s why Jack Seed & Supply offers custom seed blends built around your operation, your soil, and your goals. Whether you’re planting forage for livestock, establishing a wildlife food plot, improving pasture, building soil health with cover crops, or creating a specialized mix for a unique application, we can help design a blend that performs.
Serving producers throughout West Texas, the Texas Panhandle, Eastern New Mexico, and the Oklahoma Panhandle, we combine local knowledge with quality seed to create blends that fit your acres—not a one-size-fits-all bag.
How Our Custom Seed Blends Work
Step 1: Bring Us Your Idea
Tell us what you’re wanting to accomplish with your custom blend. Whether it’s for grazing, hay, cover crops, wildlife, pasture improvement, or a unique planting goal, we’ll talk through your acres, intended use, and what you want the blend to do.
Step 2: We Check Availability & Get You a Price
Once we know what you’re looking for, our team checks seed availability and puts together pricing for your custom blend. If certain ingredients are unavailable, we can help recommend practical alternatives that still fit your goal.
Step 3: Place Your Order
After we agree on the blend and price, you can place your order with 50% paid in advance. This helps secure the seed and allows us to begin preparing your custom mix.
Step 4: Pick Up Your Finished Blend
Once your order is complete, we’ll let you know it’s ready for pickup. Come by Jack Seed & Supply, pay the remaining balance, and take home a custom blend built for your operation.

Custom Grazing Blends
Every grazing program is different. We build custom grazing blends based on your livestock, available moisture, grazing schedule, and management practices. Whether you’re planting warm-season or cool-season forage, we can create a blend designed to maximize forage production and extend your grazing season.
Custom Hay Blends
Quality hay starts with the right seed mix. We can develop custom hay blends that balance yield, forage quality, regrowth, and stand persistence for your operation. Whether you’re producing hay for cattle, horses, sheep, or goats, we’ll help build a blend that meets your production goals.
Cover Crop Blends
Cover crops can improve soil health while providing additional value to your farming operation. We create custom cover crop blends that may include grasses, legumes, brassicas, and other species selected to improve soil structure, reduce erosion, increase organic matter, support beneficial soil biology, and capture nutrients.
Wildlife Food Plot Blends
Attract and support wildlife with custom food plot blends designed for your property. Whether you’re managing deer, turkey, dove, quail, or other wildlife, we can build a blend that provides seasonal forage, attraction, and habitat improvement.
Pasture Improvement Blends
Improve existing pastures with custom seed mixes designed to increase forage production, improve stand diversity, and extend grazing opportunities. We can recommend species that fit your soil type, rainfall, irrigation availability, and long-term management goals.
Pollinator & Conservation Blends
Support pollinators and beneficial insects with custom blends developed for conservation areas, field borders, native restoration projects, and pollinator habitats. These mixes can help improve biodiversity while providing long-term environmental benefits.
Built for West Texas Growing Conditions
Growing conditions across the High Plains can change dramatically from one field to the next. Soil type, annual rainfall, irrigation capacity, crop rotation, elevation, and intended use all influence which species belong in a successful seed blend. Our team works with producers throughout the region to recommend combinations that make sense for local conditions instead of relying on generic mixes.
Why Choose a Custom Seed Blend?
A custom blend allows you to plant exactly what your operation needs instead of paying for species that don’t fit your goals. Whether your priority is grazing, hay production, wildlife habitat, soil improvement, erosion control, or forage diversity, a custom mix provides flexibility while helping maximize the value of every acre.
Local Seed Blend Knowledge You Can Trust
Seed performance depends on more than the variety name. Soil type, planting date, rainfall, irrigation, herbicide program, grazing pressure, harvest plans, and regional growing conditions all matter. At Jack Seed & Supply, we work with farmers, ranchers, and landowners to help choose seed that makes sense for their ground.
Whether you are planting a few acres or covering large production fields, Jack Seed & Supply is here to help. Contact us or stop by to talk through your seed needs, compare options, and find the right fit for your operation.
